As of August 2017, the 1st day theory component will be delivered on-line prior to course starting. Then there will be 2 days face to face training with hand-on. A Laser Safety certificate is a pre-requisite for this hands-on course.
The course is offered on-site at your clinic/salon. The cost is a flat rate fee per clinic/salon for up to 4 staff members. Contact Trudy directly to discuss fee structure.
There are strict pre-requisites for this course and limited numbers in the classes. Course includes: manuals, workbooks, clinical training in all modalities, assessment and certificate upon successful completion.
This course is available to doctors, nurses, and beauty/dermal therapists.
This IPL course includes an in depth explanation of hair growth, causes of excess hair, areas able to be treated, how IPL hair removal works and IPL tissue interaction. IPL wavelengths, fluence and pulse patterns are discussed in detail along with thermal relaxation time/pulse width considerations. IPL skin rejuvenation techniques include, tissue interaction, wavelength, fluence and pulse width considerations along with skin type and tan issues. Contraindications and special precautions, photo-sensetive drugs along with consultation techniques are thoroughly covered. Hands-on training is with a range of clients who are booked in for hair removal and skin rejuvenation treatments in simulated clinical conditions where you will follow full documentation as well as treatment procedures. All procedures are fully supervised by Trudy, a highly experienced and qualified trainer with very small group classes.
