Zoom Laser/IPL Safety Officer Course ED194 1-day Doctors-Only Course

Theoretical components of the required competencies for people wishing to obtain a Use Licence and Radiation Safety Officer certificate for laser cosmetic and medical procedures.

This course follows Australian and New Zealand Standards - AS/NZS 4173:2018 Safe use of Lasers and Intense Light Sources in Health Care.  It is the same course content as our normal 2-day Laser Safety Officer course, however, it is offered in a very condensed 1-day version, for doctors who have limited time available.  It is expected that they will be able to move through the content at a reasonable pace. It is ideal for GPs entering the laser market, cosmetic, dermatology and plastic surgeons as well as other specialists such as gynaecologists who are entering the laser field.

Laser Safety education is the base requirement needed for all laser and IPL cosmetic and medical treatments.   Further studies in clinical applications and hands-on training can follow-on from this base.   This course, being registered with QLD Radiation Health authority, also meets the safety training needs for those requiring a use license in regulated states (W.A., Qld, Tas).   It is also ideal for doctors who are new to the field, or current users of cosmetic/aesthetic/medical lasers and IPL who require more knowledge of the technology they are using.

Presented by the renowned Trudy Fleming, this is a theory-based unit of study in the knowledge, science and safe use of laser technology.  It is a special, concentrated 1-day course, designed for doctors only.
